SET - Mimosa growing container
Shy mimosa
Sensitive to the touch, delicate and shy of any prying eyes, the Mimosa is sure to impress you. Discover this unusual plant that is grown for its uniqueness.
A plant with small, tiny leaves moves when touched. Don't believe it?
Mimosa pudica (or delicate mimosa in other words) is a tropical plant native to Louisiana that has the property of retracting when touched as if shy. When shaken slightly, the leaves turn inward and open again after a few minutes.
The plant is extremely soft to the touch and is known for its rapid folding and falling of its leaves. The leaves close due to various stimuli, such as touch, blowing, heat, and shaking.
Its tiny pink flowers are in pompoms and we all want to touch it. It must always have moist soil and light so that the leaves highlight their tenderness and when you touch them you will see their quick reaction. We never get tired of it.
