SET - Bird feeder with seeds, for children
Birds need care and help even in winter
An easy-to-assemble bird feeder for children, where you sprinkle the included seeds and watch the birds feed.
In winter, when it's cold outside, it becomes very difficult for birds to find enough food on their own. Why do they need our help in winter?
Birds usually eat berries, grains, insects, ... But when it's very cold, there are no berries on the bushes outside, no grains in the fields, and no worms in the frozen ground.
There are many native birds that leave their homes in the winter because they are too cold. These birds are called migratory birds. For example, storks fly to Africa every year to spend the winter. However, there are many birds that stay in one place all year round. These include: the spotted woodpecker, the tit, the blackbird, the blue tit, all kinds of finches, the magpie, the robin, the woodpecker and the sparrow. These birds are called perching birds.
Birds try not to move much in the winter. They need a lot of energy to move, which they can only get from food. They need fats found in sunflower seeds or millet.
Here is a bird feeder that you can assemble yourself, place on a windowsill or in the garden and watch the birds feed. Place it in a visible place on your balcony, in your garden or under a tree so that the birds can come back. Add fresh seeds regularly and watch the birds feed. The birds will be very grateful.
Warning: the material is chipboard and before placing the bird feeder in the garden, it must be varnished or protected with a wood coating.
