Preparation method

🌿 Place the seeds in a bag of sand and place in the refrigerator for 6-8 weeks to allow the seeds to gently awaken (stratification).
🌿 Fill the container with light soil to which you have added sand or clay pebbles.
🌿 Plant the seeds and lightly cover them with a thin layer of soil.
🌿 Lightly tamp the soil.
🌿 Place the pot inside behind glass and keep the soil moist (but not overly so).
🌿 In a few weeks, the seeds will germinate and seedlings will develop.
🌿 A young tree can remain in a container for several months before transplanting.

NOTE: Since the sexes of ginkgo are separate, the stem from the seed will be either male or female (the female can be recognized by the stronger scent when the leaves fall in the fall).
TIP: Be patient because growth is slow.

Transplanting seedlings is absolutely necessary.
